The historic Kimball Theatre has become the cornerstone of Williamsburg's performing arts community. Centrally located in Merchant's Square, the Kimball Theatre is home to stage productions, musical performances, speakers and more produced by community groups and William & Mary alike. The Kimball Theatre opened in 1933 to the William & Mary production of "The Recruiting Officer" and beginning in 2018 will serve as the main production facility for the Department of Theatre & Dance while the William & Mary Arts Quarter is under construction.
Amenities
The 410-seat theatre features a main theater with a stage for live productions and movie screen, a 35-seat screening room, concessions and a box office. The box office schedule is maintained by the William & Mary Theatre and Dance Department and information about ticket prices and availability can be viewed on individual event listings.
At this time, reserved seating is required for all performances. Please review the theatre seating chart before reserving tickets.
